Funeral service for Mrs. Loretta Dianne Modisette Edwards, age 71, will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Springhill, LA. Interment will follow in Western Cemetery, Emerson, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 5, 2018, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Edwards was born on November 23, 1946 to Andrew Jackson and Katherine Teague Modisette in Springhill, LA and passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in Bossier City, LA. She was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Terry Wayne Edwards; two sons, Ronald Ray Edwads and wife, Crystal of Shongaloo, Clifton Wayne Edwards of Haynesville; six grandchildren, Jacob Daniel Edwards, Dakota Ray Edwards, Trinity Edwards, Chasity Edwards, Destiny Edwards, Harley Edwards; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Brenda Ivy and husband, Joe of Haynesville, Joyce Duck of Sarepta, Mary Martin and husband, Randy of El Dorado, AR; three brothers, Kenneth Modisette and wife, Mary of Keithville, A.J. Modisette and wife, Gloria of Lebanon, OR, Benny Modisette and wife, Sonya of Spearsville; brother-in-law, Reggie Taylor of Taylor, AR; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jimmy Modisette; and sister, Sharon Taylor.
