Rev. Earl C. West, 89, of Dunn died Friday evening February 2, 2018 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab in Benson.
Rev. West was born June 24, 1928 in Sampson County son of the late Carl and Carrie Moore West and was also preceded in death by a brother, Bruce West and son-in-law, Freddie Davis. He was a retired carpenter and pastor of The Church of God in Erwin.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dwayne Anders and Rev. Danny West officiating. Burial will follow at Lee’s Chapel Williford Cemetery.
Rev. West is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ila Ruth Lee West; daughters, Brenda Smith and husband Larry of Raleigh, Pamela Davis of Princeton, Sherry Betancourt and husband Andy of Garner; son, Ronnie West and wife Barbara of Easley, South Carolina; sister-in-law, Jackie Bass, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Skinner & Smith Funeral Home in Dunn.
Flowers are welcome, however memorials may be made to The Church of God in Erwin, 107 3rd Street, Erwin, NC 28339.
