Mrs. Shirley Dupree Milligan Oliver, 63 of Lake City died Tuesday morning, March 1, 2005 at her home. She was the daughter of the late John A. Dupree and Pearlie Powers Dupree. She is predeceased in death by one son, David Milligan Brooks and one brother, John Wayne Dupree. Mrs. Oliver had a love for music, fishing, hunting and especially her grandchildren, and was a life long resident of Lake City and of the Pentecostal Faith. Mrs. Oliver is survived by her husband, Eugene T. Oliver, Lake City, one son, Randy Bennett (Jo), Statenville, GA, one daughter, Brenda Brooks Smith (Wesley), Lake City, one step-son, Tony Oliver(Cheryl), West Palm, Florida, two step-daughters, Joyce Oliver Wade and Regina Starkey, both of West Palm, Florida, two brothers, Harvey Dupree (Jackie), Hudson, Florida, Alton Dupree (Martha), Lake Park, GA., fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Mrs Oliver will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Friday, March 4, 2005 at the Gateway~Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lowell Van Vleck and Elder Herman Griffin officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5:00 – 7:00 P.M., Thursday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice of Suwannee Valley-Capital Campaign Building Fund at 618 SW Florida Gateway Drive, Lake City, Florida 32024.
