Thomas Leroy Snider was born on November 27, 1935, in Marshalltown, IA, to Elmer and Inga (Rierson) Snider. After graduating from Green Mountain High School, Tom joined the Marines and proudly served his country during the Korean War. He was the proud definition of "once a Marine, always a Marine." In October of 1968, Thomas was united in marriage to Nadine Hunt. He spent most of his career as a car salesman for Jensen Ford in Marshalltown and George White Chevrolet in Ames, IA.
