Jerry Wendell Kuykendall

NORTHPORT – Jerry Wendell Kuykendall, of Northport, died January 28, 2018, at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2018, with Dr. Ken Cheek officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider directing. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 30, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the Legacy Room at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his father, D.O. Kuykendall; mother, Loree Kuykendall; and sisters, Glenda Boles; and Rita Sanders.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years Nina Beck ""Lucy"" Kuykendall; sons, Dane Kuykendall (Charlene), Darron Kuykendall (Tammy) and Ross Kuykendall (Tina); brother, William ""Sonny"" Jones (Betty); and six grandsons, three granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.

Jerry was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He served his country in the U.S. Navy with two tours in Vietnam while attached to the VA 72 attack squadron.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

on, Dr. Susan Bostick, Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center staff, DCH Regional Medical Center 7th Floor staff and Hospice of West Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Lewis and Faye Manderson Center and/or Hospice of West Alabama.
