Erinea "Neita" Gutiérrez was born on May 20, 1923 in Corrales, NM.
Erinea passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 26, 2018 with her loving family at her side.
Having lived most of her life in Alameda, Neita was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Neita was married to Loyola Gutiérrez on February 14, 1946 (Valentine's Day) and would have celebrated 72 years of marriage this year.
Neita was preceded in death by parents, Miguel and Cleofas Griego of Corrales, NM and six siblings.
Neita is survived by her loving husband, Loyola Gutiérrez, seven children, Ron (Rose), Tom (Viola), Richard (Pauline), Carmen (John), Joseph (Marie), Mary Ellen (Ken) and James (Natlie), 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother, Mike Griego (Crissie), her close cousin, Vijes Sáiz (Vicky) and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Neita will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives she touched.
Visitations will be on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St. NW, Albuquerque, NM. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth St. NW, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will take place on Thursday at 11:15 a.m. at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé NM. Pallbearers will be Tom Gutiérrez Jr., Ricky Gutiérrez Jr., Ronny Gutiérrez Jr., Neil Girardin, Brandon Rael, Paul Sánchez and James Ryan Gutiérrez.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the Staff of Kindred Hospice for compassionate care giving to Neita.
