Peggy Lou Barnett, 70, passed away on January 26, 2018 . The daughter of Francis Lynn and Opal (Lee) Ables, Peggy was born on December 27, 1947 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Peggy, a homemaker, loved to go shopping, gardening, and cooking.She enjoyed making costumes and other stuff for her grandkids and great grandkids. She would never let them go without anything they needed or just about anything they wanted either. She would always make sure they were in fashion and wore the name brand clothing. Peggy enjoyed playing Bingo on Facebook and watching Doc Martin and Downton Abbey on TV. Her first loves were her grandkids and great grandkids.

Peggy is survived by her 2 sons, Charley Barnett and wife Penny of Choctaw and Butch Barnett of OKC; 4 grandkids, Michael Barnett and wife Heather Berryman, Kellie Barnett and husband James Hoffman, Melissa Woodard and husband Joshua, and Patience Barnett; 7 great grandchildren, Bryce Barnett, Emma Branchcomb, Lane Woodard, Emily Buckler, Cole Barnett, Trinity Hoffman, and Weston Woodard.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charley Barnett; brother, Billy “Sonny” Ables; and sisters, Donna Davis, Betty Kendricks, JoAnn Gunter, Dorothy Mallory, and Carolyn Sue Tidmore.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
