Joe grew up in Doe Run and graduated from Farmington High School in 1976. He obtained an Associate Degree from MAC and became an engineer with AT&T. Despite living with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, Joe, was a hard worker having spent many hours working in the yard and working on cars. He took on a project of building a dune buggy at one time during his life. His loved ones will remember his very creative mind and his caring nature.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his son, Joe Holt, Jr. and his wife, Marissa; step-daughter, April Mosley and her husband, Joseph; one step-grandchild, Dakota Myracle; his siblings, Jennifer (Frank) Rooker; Hugh “Buddy” (Florence) Holt, Jr., Michael Holt, Thomas (Debby) Holt, Nancy (David Blunt) Holt and Tim (Debbie) Holt; his former wife and forever best friend, Barb Holt; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Friday, January 26, from 1 – 2 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Reverend Chestin Pickard officiating.
