Mr. Ruel Noel, 71, departed this life on Tuesday, August 7, 1973, at the Taylor County Hospital. He was a native of Casey County, Ky., but was a resident of Route 1, Elkhorn at the time of his death. Mr. Noel was the son of the late Samuel Noel and Mary Ann Bailey Noel. He was united in marriage to Genevieve Hendrickson who preceded him in death. He is survived by three sons: Raymond Noel of Liberty, Wilbur Noel of Campbellsville, William Noel of Louisville; four daughters: Viola Tungate of Campbellsville, Gwendola Glover of Louisville, Mildred Myers of Campbellsville, and Miss Doris Noel of Nashville, Tenn. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and two sisters: Lottie Bland of Campbellsville and Carrie Wethington of Brownsburg, Ind. Funeral services were conducted at the Lyon Funeral Home on Thursday, August 9, 1973, at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. J. D. Campbell and Rev. David Sword were in charge of the services. Burial was in the Noel Family Cemetery. The pallbearers were Ira England, Bennie Noel, Lanous Muncie, Arvel Cox, Marvin Cox, and McArthur Cox.
