Virginia A. "Virgie" Little, 81, of Little Sioux, Iowa passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa.
Per Virgie's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no services held at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa.
Virginia Ann was born on August 15, 1936 in Laurens, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Mabel (Hayes) Kaufman. She attended school in Laurens.
Virgie and Robert Cobb were united in marriage in 1954. Five children were born to this union. The couple moved to Davenport, Iowa. In 1971 Virgie moved to Little Sioux, Iowa. Virgie and Vernon "Bud" Little were united in marriage on March 2, 1972 in Onawa, Iowa.
Virgie enjoyed gardening. Her goldfish pond was her pride and joy.
Virgie was employed as a CNA at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa, Iowa. She was also employed as a Quality Control Inspector at Wilkinson's Manufacturing at Fort Calhoun, Nebraska.
Survivors include her children, Debra Cobb of Carter Lake, IA, Nancy (Dale) Williams of Dunlap, IA, Karen (John) Iversen of Pisgah, IA, and Shelley Stewart of Little Sioux, IA; five grandchildren, Rob (Beth) Williams of Manning, IA, Michael Williams of Neola, IA, Daniel Williams of Neola, IA, Stephanie Sanders of Council Bluffs, IA, and Erik Stewart of Fremont, NE; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Gray of Denver, CO; and two brothers, Bob Kaufman of Omaha, NE and Howard Kaufman of Laurens, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bud; great-grandson, Gage Williams; three brothers, Joseph Kaufman, William Kaufman, and Ronald Kaufman; and one sister, Betty Madsen.
