Murray, UT-Judith Morton Banks, age 76, passed away January 16, 2018. Born March 24, 1941 in Portland, Oregon to Sharon E. and Helen Gardner Morton. She grew up in Salt Lake City and made Murray her home. Married James Lloyd Greaves Aug. 27, 1959 (later divorced). Together they had four children. She married Norman Banks, January 17, 1975. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He had seven children and the two families became the new Banks' family.
Judy was mom to many and opened her home to all. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and made hand-made blankets for her grandchildren. She enjoyed country music and puzzles. She worked well into her retirement years for the wonderful Dr. Benjamin Kim and loved her association with him.
She is survived by her 11 children: Julie (Jim) Thomas, Greg (Shawn) Banks, Linda (Mike) Jensen, Gordon (Lynette) Banks, Rob Greaves, Marcia (Steven) Johns, Laurie (Gary) Andersen, Karma (Michael) Bentson, Sharon (John) Thomas, Nannette (Brian) Chaffin, Tammy (Jason) Christensen all of Salt Lake; 30 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; brother Joe (Holly) Morton and sister Diane (Fred) Nelson. Proceded in death by her parents, husband, brother James Morton, infant sister Linda and granddaughter Shelbey Christensen.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 22nd, at 11:00 am, at the Brownstone LDS Chapel, 725 East 6410 South, Murray, Utah, where Viewings will be held Sunday, January 21st from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and prior to services on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Interment in Murray City Cemetery.
