Judy Katherine (Lind) Fisher, 76, Stevens Point, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, after a 14 month battle against a rare form of brain cancer, spindle cell sarcoma.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, at the Shuda Funeral Chapel – Stevens Point. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. A private burial will be at a later date.

She was born July 4, 1941, in Madison, the daughter of the late Louis and Jeannette (Soeteber) Lind. She lived and attended schools in Minnesota and Pawley’s Island, S.C., and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School, Stevens Point, in 1961.

She was married to Bruce Fisher in November 1962; he died in December 2002.

She worked at Spectra Print Corporation for over 30 years.

She loved spending time with her her children and grandchildren, especially times at the family cottage in Catawba. She also enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed making jewelry and finding new places to eat.

She is survived by two children, Lori (John-Jack) Britz, Rosholt, and Scott (Amy) Fisher, Stevens Point; three grandchildren, Aiden “Aidee,” Zane and MaKenna “Kenna” Fisher; one brother, Paul Franklin Lind, Charlotte, N.C.; sisters-in-law, Mara Zarins, Huntersville, N.C., Dona Fisher, Stevens Point, and Debra (Tom) Kulas, Rosholt; and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Heidi Sue Fisher; and one brother-in-law, Duane.

The family would like to thank Dr. Adedayo Onitilo, Dr. Benjamin Lawler and the oncology staff involved with her care; Dr. Paul Munck and his staff; Willow Brooke Point Assisted Living staff; and Ascension (formerly Ministry) Hospice Care.
