Services were held on Monday, Dec. 30th, at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home, the Rev. Al Jakubowski officiated. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Mr. Fisher was born June 23, 1943, in Stevens Point, a son of the late William and Delores (Dykas) Fisher. He graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1961.
He entered the Wisconsin National Guard on July 17, 1961, and completed basic training at Fort Knox, Ky. He started his active duty as a private first class in the 32nd Infantry Division Artillery at Fort Lewis, WA, during the Berlin Crisis. He was honorably discharged as a corporal with the 120th Artillery on July 16, 1964.
He was married to Judy Lind on Nov. 24, 1962, in Stevens Point. They later divorced. He was employed at Consolidated Papers Inc/Stora Enso for 39 years, retiring on Jan. 31, 2001. He was a member of American Legion Post 6 and the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include one daughter, Lori (John) Britz, Rosholt; one son, Scott (Amy), Stevens Point; his stepmother, Grace Fisher, town of Hull; one brother, Duane (Dona), Stevens Point; one sister, Debra (Tom) Kulas, Rosholt; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Heidi Sue Fisher; and one brother, William Jr.
