Danny Van Houtan, 33, Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of St. Joseph, (MO), died Freiday, November 1, 1996, at a hospital in Albuquerque.

He was born in St. Joseph, August 14, 193, the son of Don and Janice Van Houtan. He was a graduate of Central High School in St. Joseph and resided there until age 18, when he joined the Army and served four years. Later he moved to Texas.

Survivors include his parents, Don and Janice, Bigelow, MO; a son, Scott, St. Joseph; three brothers, Tom, Ronnie, and Bill, all of St. Joseph; and a sister, Diana Riggs, Maryville, MO.

Private family services were held in Albuquerque, N.M. The body was cremated. A memorial service was held at 7 p.m. Friday, 17th Street Congregation of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, St. Joseph.

French Mortuary, Albuquerque, was in charge of arrangements.
