Ashley was born December 20, 1990 in Pontiac, the daughter of Terry Ellis and Melinda Newcomb. She attended Lakeland High School and was employed at 7-11 in Highland. Surviving are three children, Anthony, Atarra and Arianna; mother, Melinda Newcomb; siblings, Amanda, Teri, Karli, and Annette; grandmother, Mary Newcomb; aunts, Kim McAdams, Grace Barrett, Sharon Neumann and many other family members. She was preceded in death by her father, Terry Ellis; grandfather, Roy; uncle, Mikael Newcomb.
Funeral Services will be held 12 PM Friday, September 1, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd, Fenton. Burial will follow in Ottawa Park Cemetery, Clarkston. Ms. Rich was shot to death at the Ashton Pines Apartments in Waterford, MI. on August 27, 2017; her boyfriend, Ian Thomas Jones, was taken into custody and has been charged with her death.
