Hager D. Garriott Jr. age 93 of Scottsburg passed away Tuesday, January 16 in Clarksville, Indiana.

Mr. Garriott was born November 1, 1924 in Gibson Township, Indiana the son of Hager D. and Emma Estelle Mitchell Garriott.

He was a WWII 781st Tank Battalion Army Veteran. He was member of the VFW, lifelong member of American Legion Post 473 of Little York, Washington Co. Hospital Board, Elk Creek Soil and Water Conservancy, Mt. Hebron Church of Christ in Little York, and Sun Lakes Community Church in Sun Lakes, Arizona. He was retired from farming and the timber business.

Hager was preceded in death by his wife: Agnes Marie Roberston Garriott on June 6, 2016. They were married April 9, 1944. He was also preceded in death by a daughter; Connie L. Garriott, four brothers; Courtney Garriott, George Garriott, Hubert Garriott, and Orville Garriott, two sisters; Amelia Allison, and Myrtle Strain, and his parents.

He is survived by a son; Von L. Garriott of Scottsburg, two daughters; Carol Elgin (Charles) of Scottsburg, and Sandra Joy Antonacci (David) of Seattle, Washington, 7 Grandchildren; Bethany Gelbrich, Timothy J. Jordan, Marcus Lee Garriott, John Dean Garriott, Jacob C. Elgin, Matthew B. Elgin, and Michael G. Elgin, 7 great-great grandchildren; Oren Gelbrich, Heath Gelbrich, Wesley J. Elgin, Justin T. Elgin, Ellie Katherine Elgin, Isaac R. Elgin, and Luke E. Elgin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday January 27 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt Hebron Church of Christ.
Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Little York with military honors.
Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 PM at Weathers Funeral Home and Saturday from 9:30AM-time of service at Mt. Hebron.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Mt. Carmel, Gibson Township, Cemetery Fund.
