Sharon J. Springer, 78, of Brookston, passed away at 5:56 PM on January 15, 2018 at IU Health Hospital of Lafayette.
She was born on November 25, 1939 in Michigan City, IN to the late Glen Eldon and Arlene Marie (Barkow) Clinger and was a 1960 graduate of Elston Sr. High.
Her marriage of 55 years was to William L. Springer on June 15, 1962 in Lakeland Free Methodist Church in Michigan City; he survives.
Mrs. Springer worked in nursing her entire working career. She was retired from the Indiana Veterans Home after many years as a nurse's aide.
Sharon was a loving mom and grandmother and family was most important to her. She also enjoyed watching television and reading.
Surviving with her husband are four children; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death with her parents is a sister, Lynnette Tucker.
