Mrs. Raftshol Taken by Death

Mrs. Maret Raftshol, 84 of Suttons Bay, died Wednesday at Hackley hospital in Muskegon, where she had made her home the past three years with her two daughters. She is the mother of Dr. Rudolph W. Raftshol of this city.

Mrs. Raftshol was born April 12, 1878 at Northport and in 1903 was married to Rev. Anders J. Raftshol, who preceded her in death in 1924.

She was a life member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Suttons Bay and the Ladies Aid Society of that church.

Surviving are three sons; Karl J. of Suttons Bay; Dr. R. W. Raftshol of Traverse City; Kermit W. of Milwaukee, Oregon; four daughters, Mrs. Oliver Boe of Chicago, Mrs. John McCulloch of Lansing; and Mrs. James Christophersen and Mrs. John Christophersen both of Muskegon: two brothers, 31 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The body is being returned to the M. Martinson and Son funeral home in Suttons Bay today where it will repose until noon on Saturday when it will be taken to the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Suttons Bay. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. A. C. Pikop officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in the church cemetery.
