Corine was born January 3, 1931 in Pocatello, Idaho to Clarence Larson and Christine Marie Nielsen Larson.
Corine attended schools in the Taysom and Blackfoot area.
On September 12, 1950 she married Jay Wilson Casper in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
Corine was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a seminary graduate. She served in the Relief Society, Primary and Mutual Auxiliaries. She also received the Golden Gleaner Award. She loved being a visiting teacher.
Corine worked as a homemaker, caring for her home and children. She was also employed in the Idaho Falls Temple for 15 years. She was a superb wife and mother.
In her free time she enjoyed doing family history, oil painting, backyard science, handiwork, children’s literature and excelled at genealogy research. She loved spending time with her beloved grandkids and her cat “Grizz”.
Corine is survived by her husband, Jay Casper of Idaho Falls; daughters, Jayetta (Rick) Rasmussen of Rexburg, Colette Casper of Lehi, UT; sister, Coleen (Jerry) Rowe of Chubbuck; 8 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Christine Larson; daughters, Lenette Casper and Corette Taylor; brother, Keith Larson; and sisters, Olive Larson Hepworth and Fern Larson Nickerson.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery. Family will visit with friends at 12 noon, Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Hawker Funeral Home.
