Roger Sharp, Sr. age 67, of Silver Point, TN passed away at Cookeville Regional Medical Center late Sunday night January 14, 2018. He was retired from Star Manufacturing after 26 years and owner of Sharp Lodge in Silver Point and was a Baptist. He was born June 1, 1950 in Crossvile, TN to Hazel Sharp Griffth and the late Oakley Stanley Sharp. He moved to Smithville in 1975. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Treva Sharp of Smithville. Son, Roger D. Sharp, Jr. of Silver Point. Grandson, Roger David Sharp, III of Mt. Juliet. His mother, Hazel Sharp Griffith of Silver Point. Brothers, Dennis (Annie) Sharp of Silver Point and David (Melissa) Sharp of Smithville and many close friends and honorary family members. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. B.J. Thomason officiating and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday 3 PM until 8 PM and Thursday 9 AM until the time of the service at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DeKalb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral expenses. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements
