The funeral was to be at Pine Hill Baptist Church near here, with the Rev. Shelton Sharbano officiating. Graveside rites were to be held at 2 p.m. at Salem Cemetery near Ruston under direction of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. A. L. Brooks of Sicily Island; a brother, B. L. DeFreese of Ruston; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be A. H. Garner, Simon Meyers, Ray Golmon, W. C. Speights, A. L. Alexander and Carey Fairbanks.
