Born Oct. 9, 1925 in Lawrence County, Ky. He was one of 11 children of Oscar and Rosa Nell (Greene) Reeves.
Walter retired from Westinghouse after 30 years and then worked for Hatfield Jeep Chrysler Dodge in London for many years following. An avid gardener and tinkerer, Walter, along with his wife Bernice, most enjoyed spoiling their granddaughters, Kim and Kris with love and affection.
Survivors include his brother, Arvil Reeves of London; stepson, James (Rowena) Knisley of Columbus; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Clark of Grove City; granddaughters, Kimberly Grinstead (Rick Foreman) of Grove City and Kristina Knisley of Galloway; great-grandchildren, Zackary Grinstead and Samantha Knisley; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bernice (Blain) Reeves; brothers, James, Russell, Joseph and Charles Reeves; sisters, Edith Wooten, Pauline Helterbran, Eliza Crago, Herma Sever and Arna Leah Sharp; and grandson, Jim Grinstead Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London. Interment in Paint Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-7 p.m. Thursday.
