Bobby Charles Myers, age 91, Lawton, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018 in Lawton. He was born December 28, 1926 in Farwell, Texas. He was a graduate of Broxton High School. In 1945 he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska. He was a cement mason and had worked with Brown & Root building the Lawton Goodyear plant. He was later self employed as a construction contractor.
Bobby was a 32nd degree Mason for over 50 years. He was a member of Mt. Scott Masonic Lodge #540, the McAlester Consistory and the India Shrine Temple. He was also a member of VFW Post #5263 and American Legion Post #29.
He is survived by three children, David Myers and wife Sandy, Union Springs, Alabama, Jimmy Myers, Lawton, and Carol Tomah and husband Travis Ober, Temple, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Lawrence Tomah, Eric Myers, Kevin Myers, Laura Tomah and Jessie Myers; two great granddaughters, Isabealla and Reese.
His parents and his brother, Donald R. Myers, preceded him in death.
