Mrs. Sampley moved to Fort Worth, Texas following the death of her husband. The couple lived at Bryson, Texas at the time of his death and had lived in Bryson, Texas for many years.

Mrs. Sampley was making her home with a daughter. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survived by three sons - W.S. Sampley, W.R. Sampley, Troy Sampley; two daughters - Mrs. Cora Conley and Mrs. Mattie Fobes; two step-daughters - Mrs. Ed Pierce and Mrs. V.W. Stafford; three sisters - Mrs. Sara Tatum, Mrs. Lou Kenyon, Mrs. Tilda Johnson; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
