(1932-1993)
Goldie V. Abbott, 60, of Akron, passed away Sept. 4, 1993. Mrs. Abbott was born in Independence, W.Va., and lived in the area most of her life. She was the owner of the G&A Roofing Co. and was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by husband, Delbert; son, William Abbott of Akron; daughters, Rubbie Daiger, Barbara Gayer, Sandra Britton, Patricia Abbott, Peggy Shipley, all of Akron; sisters, Myrtle Nutter and Edna Sisler, both of West Virginia; brothers, Elve Braddock of Cleveland, Roy and Ray Braddock of West Virginia and Johnnie Braddock of Cleveland; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd., Wednesday, 11 a.m., Rev. Fr. Thomas McCann officiating. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.. Tuesday.
