Martha Thedford was born December 30, 1924, in Tyler, Texas to Julian F. and Bessie L. Sparks Thedford. She grew up in Tyler and attended Tyler High School and Tyler Commercial College.

Martha was hired at 18 years of age by the Cotton Belt Railway to deliver company mail on a bicycle. She went on to work for Cotton Belt Railway for 45 years, retiring in 1988 as Revenue Accounting Secretary. She was united in marriage to C. Paxton Lunsford on February 24, 1948. Martha and Paxton lived in Tyler and were parents of two daughters. He passed away October 14, 1982.

Martha was united in marriage to Clinton M. Wrotenbery on October 21, 1989 at First Baptist Church in Tyler. They made their home in Grand Prairie, Texas and were active in First Baptist Church of Grand Prairie. Mr. Wrotenbery passed away January 5, 2017.

Mrs. Wrotenbery died at her home in Grand Prairie on January 2, 2018 following a brief illness and hospitalization.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, her brother Jack and two sisters, Dorothy Wade and Betty Bowlin. Survivors include two daughters , one grandson and one great-grandson. A celebration of life service was held at Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Home in Tyler, Texas on January 13, 2018. Burial was next to her first husband in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler.
