SALEM - Donna Mae Doty, 69, died Tuesday.
She was born in Everett, Wash., and attended school there. She moved to Portland, Ore., in 1953 and there attended Emanuel Nursing School. She moved to Salem in 1960 and worked 30 years for Salem Hospital, and six years for Emanuel Hospital. She was a Registered Nurse and RN Supervisor, retiring in 1994.
Donna was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, and the LCW of St. Mark, and she received the Lamb award from the Lutheran Church. She was a Boy Scout leader and Cub Scout leader, and received the Silver Beaver award from the scouts. She enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include her husband, Jack C. Doty, whom she married on Aug. 6, 1960; sons, Timothy C. Doty of Rockledge, Fla., and Kenneth E. Doty of Elkgrove, Calif.; daughter, Brenda M. Doty of Vancouver, Wash.; brothers, Jack and Joseph Wright; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Visiting at Restlawn Funeral Home in Salem. Services will be Saturday, March 23 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Salem. Interment will be Saturday at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Salem. Contributions may be made to Boy Scouts of America, or St. Marks Foundation.
