Eileen Hahnenfeld Taylor was born in New York on January 14, 1951 to Theodore (Big Ted) and Eileen Hahnenfeld. In 1955 her parents moved to Nanuet, New York where they resided in the same house for 61 years. As her siblings refer to her as the '#1 daughter', she was the eldest of 7, with 3 brothers, Joseph Hahnenfeld (Julie Redmond), Ted Hahnenfeld (Arlene Zaima) and John Hahnenfeld (Susan) and 3 sisters, Kathleen Garcia (Julio), Christine Corti (Bill), and Maureen. Her siblings are some of her favorite people in her life and she loved each of them with all of her heart. One of her favorite memories was when they were all together eating their hometown Nanuet Hotel NY pizza, drinking a nice bottle of wine and laughing all together at their family home. She attended Albany State University where she met the love of her life and soulmate, Jack Taylor. On May 24, 1975 they were married and their adventure of husband and wife began. They decided they wanted somewhere with better weather so they moved out west to sunny California with dreams of raising a family of their own, and they did just that. Eileen had two kids, a daughter, Danielle Pagano (Matthew) whom she adored and her son, John Taylor (Dana) who was affectionately referred to as "umbilical cord" because they were so close. In 1982, Eileen and her husband, Jack built a wonderfully successful business, Horizon Sales where she was the CFO and basically a catch-all for making sure Jack stayed in line and didn't have too much fun. Eileen has 4 grandkids and one on the way, Jameson (4), Taylor Rose (3), Lorraine (19 months), Devon (13 months) and "Little Eileen" due in January. Eileen lived for her family and her love of cooking, photography and her gardening. Holidays around the Taylor's house was rich in tradition with Eileen and Jack at the helm making their kids dreams come true. Eileen had the kindest and most comforting soul, and she made everyone feel welcome and safe. It's hard to say what will be missed most about Eileen because she was so genuine and pure in everything she did. She was a wife, sister, daughter, mother, soulmate, best friend, Gram-E, life partner, and inspiration to everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her. Eileen has always been an angel, but now she finally has her wings.
