Michelle Lynn Robinson lost her battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis on Jan. 1, 2018, in Seattle, WA. She was surrounded by family and dear friends as she went peacefully into heaven. Michelle was born on August 6, 1969, in Yakima, WA to Mike and Pam Bonneville. After graduating from Eisenhower High School in 1987, she went on to receive both her Bachelors degree from Central Washington University and later her Masters degree from Leslie College in Elementary Education. Michelle spent 23 wonderful years as a kindergarten teacher at McGilvra Elementary in Seattle, WA and Newcastle Elementary in Newcastle, WA, touching thousands of children’s lives through her devotion to teaching.

Growing up, Michelle was active in her high school tennis club, swim team, and was a lifeguard at Franklin Pool in Yakima. One of her greatest accomplishments was completing a marathon in Kona, Hawaii on behalf of her grandmother, Marie, to benefit stroke research. Michelle’s love of Hawaii was highlighted by her marriage to Lynn in Maui on August 16, 2006. She loved their summer trips camping by the beach in Westport, WA, time spent with friends and their families, and every single moment with her daughter, Elsa. Her brilliant smile and infectious laugh will never be forgotten.

Michelle is survived by her loving husband Lynn, and daughter Elsa, parents Mike and Pam Bonneville, brother Mike (Linda) Bonneville, nephew Zack Bonneville and niece Paige Bonneville, all of Yakima, WA; grandmother Doris Hunziker, Yakima, WA, sister-in-law Maria (Kevin) Bjerken, New Prague, MN, and she was always surrounded by an incredible group of very special friends. Unable to receive a lung transplant of her own, in death she was able to give the gift of life to several others through organ donation.

A celebration of her life will be held Sat., January 6, 2018 at 2 pm at Newport Hills Community Church, 5833 119th Ave. SE, Bellevue, WA 98006. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to www.Pulmonaryfibrosis.org or LifeCenter NW, 3650 131st Ave. SE, Ste. 200, Bellevue, WA 98006.

Special thanks to the staff at UW Medicine, UW Lung Transplant team, LifeCenter NW Donation team, and most of all to God for blessing us with Michelle.
