Martha Alene Allen, age 94, of Oneida, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was born March 11, 1923 to the late Marshall Overton and Lillie King Overton McCullough. Alene loved quilting, working in her flowers, and was a member of the Capital Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Allen; sons, Johnny, Joe and Robert Allen; sister, Amy Albertini; daughters-in-law, Wilma and Patsy Allen; grandsons, Ron Jeffers and Danny Jeffers; great-granddaughters, Aleshia and Jamie Hill.

Alene is survived by children, Barbara Jeffers and husband, Thermon, of Oneida, Tennessee, Judy Baird and husband, Roger, of Foster, Kentucky and Jean West and husband, Mike, of Oneida, Tennessee; sister, Georgia Wilson of Blanchester, Ohio; grandchildren, Marshall Allen and wife Melisa of Sparta, Bill Allen and wife Reva of Helenwood, Kenny Allen of Crossville, Regina Allen of Crossville, Jo Lynn Hill and husband Tim of Pioneer, Beth Byrd of Pioneer, Sarah Everman and husband Brandon of Whitley City, Katie Allen of Helenwood, Don Jeffers of Capital Hill, Rick Jeffers and wife Donna of Capital Hill, Robbie Allen and wife Kim of Capital Hill, Ann Coffey and husband Johnny of Knoxville, Becky Bishop and husband Tim of Brooksville, Kentucky, Missy Baird Bishop of Paris, Kentucky, Donna Feltner and husband Bill of Foster, Kentucky, Dwayne Baird of Foster, Kentucky, Miranda Baird Earles of Foster, Kentucky; thirty-three great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren and one due in February; special friends, Ann Marcum and Letha Lawson who were like daughters; and many other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the Allen family on Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 5 p.m. until time of funeral at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Dudley Harness, Bro. Larry Ellis, and Bro. Tom Burress officiating. Music will be provided by The Chitwood Family.

Graveside service will be held on Monday, January 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Allen Cemetery in the Capital Hill Community.
