Milton Eugene Norris, age 81 of Murfreesboro, died Saturday, November 13, 2010 at his residence.
He was born in Dearborn, MO on June 11, 1929. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin Rue Norris and Maggie Garner Norris and one brother.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Dan Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Whorton Springs Cemetery in Smithville. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
Mr. Norris is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marie Braswell Norris; sister-in-law, Faye (Arlie) Braswell Jacoby of AZ; brother-in-law, Kenneth Braswell of Murfreesboro; niece, Arlinda (Frank) Gomez of AZ; nephew, Barry (Sue) Jacoby of AZ; three great nieces and three great nephews.
Mr. Norris retired as a master sergeant from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He also worked locally for the United States Postal service for many years, retiring in 1995. He is a member of the Parkway Baptist Church in Smyrna. He is also a member of the Masonic Lodge and is a Shriner.
Visitation will be 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday, at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, (615) 893-5151.
