Arlene was born June 1, 1936 in Sioux City, Iowa to Charles and Ella (Johnson) Dietschy. She was one of five children. Arlene was a cook for the Sioux City Schools until her retirement in 2001. She had many hobbies such as: sewing, gardening and shopping, but nothing compared to the time she spent with family doing anything and everything.
She married the love of her life, Earl Green on November 18, 1955. The two brought into the world to pass on the family traits; a son, Timmy, who passed shortly after birth and a daughter, Tammy (Dennis) Bernard of North Sioux City, SD.
Survivors are their daughter; Tammy (Dennis) Bernard; four grandchildren; Sarina Compton, Dusty Dillon, Benjie Bernard and Barrie Bernard. They are also survived by great grandchildren. Arlene’s sisters; Charlotte Card and Julie (Ed) Miller.
They were preceded in death by both sets of parents; their son; six brothers and five sisters.
