Earl was born April 10, 1931 in (Stevens) now known as North Sioux City, SD to Charlie and Besse (Olson) Green. He was one of ten children. Earl worked construction from 1977 as a partner of Service Construction until his retirement in 1996. He was also the first concrete saw man in Sioux City. He had many hobbies such as: fishing, hunting, taking Arlene out for a chili dog or so and sitting down by the river watching the world go by. He also took pride in the family get togethers.
Earl served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War, returning home to meet and marry the love of his life, Arlene Dietschy on November 18, 1955. The two brought into the world to pass on the family traits; a son, Timmy, who passed shortly after birth and a daughter, Tammy (Dennis) Bernard of North Sioux City, SD.
Survivors are their daughter; Tammy (Dennis) Bernard; four grandchildren; Sarina Compton, Dusty Dillon, Benjie Bernard and Barrie Bernard. They are also survived by great grandchildren. Arlene’s sisters; Charlotte Card and Julie (Ed) Miller.
They were preceded in death by both sets of parents; their son; six brothers and five sisters.
