David Ramage Hooker, 90 went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 1, 2018. He was born on July 31, 1927 in Ozan, Arkansas to Nathan “Fate” Hooker and Buena “Sudie” Ramage Hooker.

He was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Rose City for over 50 years and was retired from Kroger after 38 years of service, where he was known as Captain Hook. He loved the Red Sox, Cardinals, Razorbacks, spending time with family and friends, golfing, camping and fishing but not necessarily in that order. However, he was most accomplished at horse shoes, winning many competitions and trophies. He leaves behind many friends because he never met a stranger.

He is survived by his son, daughter, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren,

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nadine Lowry Hooker and his brother, Nathan Hooker Jr.

Instead of flowers, please make donations to the National Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, January 8, 2018 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. The funeral will be held 11:30 AM, Tuesday, January 9, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
