She was an equipment cleaner for the Norfolk Naval Air Station for 12 years. She was a native of Portsmouth and a member of First Pentecostal United Holy Church, Norfolk.
She is survived by two daughters, Venisha D. Doran and Niya L. Rodgers, both of Portsmouth; a son, Danyl M. Rodgers of Portsmouth; father, Freddie L. Rodgers of Portsmouth; three sisters, Regina Ann Blowe of Texas, Faye Williams and Dana Rodgers, both of Portsmouth; five brothers, Freddie L. Rodgers Jr., Horace Rodgers, Richard ``Nonnie'' Rodgers, Kenneth Rodgers and Darrell Rodgers, all of Portsmouth; four grandchildren; three aunts; three uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; a son-in-law, James Doran; five sisters-in-law; and other in-laws and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Ella Rodgers.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday by Pastor A. Ray Rouson in First Pentecostal United Holy Church, Norfolk. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon Sunday. The body will be taken to the church at noon Monday.
