Sarah Patton Hamilton (Pat) age 91, crossed over to meet her sweet Jesus on December 30, 2017 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s.

She was a resident of Prosperity Pointe Assisted Living in Knoxville, TN at the time of her death.

Pat was born on November 7, 1926 to John Purris and Salle Belle Patton in the Wheat Community between Oak Ridge and Kingston.

She graduated from South Harriman High School, where she was an outstanding basketball player.

She was married to Earl F. Hamilton for 49 years who preceded her in death.

Pat was lifelong caregiver to several family members.

Pat was a member of Robertsville Baptist Church in Oak Ridge for many years where she taught Sunday school, Train Union, GA’s and sang in the choir. Later in life she became a active member of Union Chapel Baptist Church in Kingston, TN.

Pat was retired from the Oak Ridge School System, Where she Managed the cafeterias for over 30 years.

Pat will be remembered for her love of the Lord, love for her family and friends and her dedication to taking care of others. Pat had a sweet spirit and her smile would bring so much joy to others.

Pat also was preceded in death by Parents, John P. and Salle B. Patton; Son, Randall E. Hamilton Daughter-in-law, Linda Davidson; Siblings, Alice Raby, Clara McElroy, john, Lewis, Charlie, Frank and Glenn Patton.

She is survived by Son William G. Davidson of Athens, TN. Daughter Gale H. Pace (Stan) of Knoxville, TN. Daughter Sharon H. Barnes (TJ) of Kingston, TN. Daughter-in -law Cynthia Hamilton of Michigan. 9 Grand children. 13 Great Grand children. 4 Great Great Grandchildren.

Pat also had several other family members that she loved as her own.

Funeral 8 pm Friday, January 5, 2018 in the Kyker Chapel. with Rev. Ronnie Nickell and Rev. Chris Bunn officiating. Burial 12:30 pm Saturday, January 6, at Kingston Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday, from 6 until 8 pm at the Kyker Funeral Home in Kingston.

Pallbearers will be her six grandsons.

Many thanks to the staff and caregivers at Prosperity pointe and Smoky Mountain Hospice who loved and cared for her well.
