Also likely a brother to Sarah Jane (Hunter) Dunbar who lived for 20 years in Perth County before moving to Nebraska.

Possibly married twice. Two of his older children (Archibald and James) say their mother's name was Margaret/Marguerite. James on his marriage record, and Archibald on his death record. The rest of his children on records show mother's name as Sarah or Jane.

Son of James Hunter which means not a brother of Sarah Jane Hunter Dunbar. First wife Margaret Bolton who was the mother of Archibald, Isabella, James, Mary Ann, and Hugh Hunter. Married second to Sarah Millan who was the mother of the rest of his children. Immigrated in 1847 to Perth County and then in 1853 to Lambton County.
