Laura Evelyn Vance 83 of Glasgow, died Saturday March 24, 2007 at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital in Bowling Green. She was born at Tracy, Kentucky the daughter of the late Hershell and Myrtis Dossey Bishop and her husband was the late Earl G. Vance. For many years Mrs. Vance was in business with her husband and continued the family business with her son as the owners of Vance Outdoor Power Equipment. She was a member of the First Christian Church where she was a member of the Golden Rule Sunday School Class and the Callie Beals Circle and was also a member of the Glasgow Garden Club.

She is survived by her son Garnett Vance and his wife Kathy of Glasgow; a grandson Dustain Vance and his fiancée Stephanie Flora of Bowling Green; 2 sisters Ruth Compton and Helen Layne both of Bowling Green, KY and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers Curtis, Chuck and Neal Bishop and 2 sisters Betty Peay and Lenora Furlong.

Funeral services will be 3:00pm Tuesday March 27, 2007 at the First Christian Church with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home on Monday after 3:30pm and Tuesday from 8:00am until 11:00am and will continue at the First Christian Church from 12:00pm until time for the service. A. F Crow & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
