She is survived by her sister, Ruth Compton of Bowling Green; her grandsons, Bo Layne of Fountain Run, KY, Cody Layne of Bowling Green, KY, Blake Layne and his wife, Sandy, and their son Brandt, of Bowling Green, KY; and two daughter-in-laws, Sarah Layne of Fountain Run, KY, and Susan Layne of Franklin, KY.
She was a member of Fountain Run Old Missionary Baptist Church and a member of Fountain Run Women's Club. She was honored as Woman of the Year in 1990. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will always be remembered as kind, loving, and loyal. Her laughter, cooking, and beautiful flower gardens will be forever missed.
Visitation will be held at J.C. Kirby & Son, Lovers Lane chapel on Monday, April 6, from 10-12 p.m. and graveside service at Fountain Run Cemetery at 2 p.m.
