VIDALIA – Mrs. Mary Thompson Halligan, 89, died Tuesday at a Rome Hospital after a short illness.
The lifelong resident of Montgomery County was a member of North Thompson Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jean Taylor of Cave Spring, five sons, Hughie and James Halligan, both of Macon, Jack and Prince Halligan, both of Vidalia and Troy Halligan of Savannah; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Rozier of Brunswick and Mrs. Robena Tippett of Vidalia; 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral: 3 p.m. today at Murchison Funeral Home, burial in Center Church Cemetery.
