Ashley E. St. Onge, 19, of Methuen, passed away tragically Saturday night, December 23, 2017 in an automobile accident on Interstate 93 in Windham, N.H.
Born at Lawrence General Hospital, she was the only daughter of Rick and Christina (D'Urso) St. Onge.
Ashley was a 2017 graduate of Lowell Catholic High School. It was there that it became apparent that her calling was to work with children. Three days a week she volunteered as a teacher's assistant at Lowell Catholic's elementary school. She was also an active member of the student body, the Ambassador Club, the Student Council, and also a member of the dance team.
She was studying early childhood education at Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill. Working with and helping children were her passion. Her dream was to get her Master's degree in special education and to help children who struggled with learning. Ashley was a selfless human being who enjoyed spending her free time volunteering with the homeless, babysitting for multiple families, spending time with her loving family and devoted boyfriend, Nicolas Hadley. She was a fun loving, loyal-to-a-fault girl who loved being called her mom's mini-me, teasing her brother, and being daddy's girl. She was a friend who always took the time to listen and never stopped short at helping people in need. She dispersed her love and affection to anyone who needed it. She left this life in a state of bliss and happiness because she was prospering and achieving her goals in life. She was everyone's princess, especially her maternal grandfather, Alexander D'Urso, who passed away in 2008.
Her legacy will be carried on by her parents, Rick and Christina M. (D'Urso) St. Onge of Methuen; brother, Jacob Richard St. Onge, maternal grandmother, Carol D'Urso of Methuen, paternal grandparents, Richard and Mary St. Onge of Salem, N.H.; great-grandmother, Loretta Hood of Lowell; loving niece of Rebecca and James Russo of Pelham, N.H., John D'Urso of Twin Mountain, N.H., Susan and Michael O'Brien of Pelham, NH; cousins, Jimmy and Nick Russo of Pelham, N.H., Taylor and Katie O'Brien of Pelham, N.H.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Friday, December 29, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at St. Monica Church, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen. Burial will follow at Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.
