Jeffery Scott White, 53, of Moore, OK passed away December 26, 2017. He was born January 16, 1964 to Jerry and Betty White in Eureka, KS.

Jeff was a beloved husband, brother, son, uncle, and great uncle. Jeff was a Lieutenant for the Oklahoma City Fire Department, and began his career as a rookie firefighter responding to the Alfred P. Murrah bombing. Jeff was proud to serve the citizens of Oklahoma City for the past 23 years, and he served them well. Jeff was a member of the Fire Department Honor Guard, Critical Incident Stress Management Team, Hazardous Materials Technician, Rescue Diver and a Peer fitness trainer. In addition, Jeff was an Emergency Medical Technician. Jeff grew up in Moore, Oklahoma, graduating from Moore High School in 1983. He was an All-State Swimmer during his high school career. He enjoyed water skiing, scuba diving and traveling both nationally and internationally with his family. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Ann White, who passed May 2, 2017.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 14 years, Cynthia, of Norman, OK; his father, Jerry, of Moore, OK; brothers, Mike and wife, Tina, of McLoud, OK, Bruce and wife, Jean, of Overland Park, KS; nephews, Josh, Jacob and Casey; and niece, Marcie; great-nephews, Jax and Samuel; and great-niece, Anabelle.

Viewing will be held at the Lynlee Mae Chapel, 507 E. Main St., Moore, OK at the following times: Thursday, December 28, 2017, from 4:00-9:00pm, and Friday, December 29, 2017, from 9:00am-9:00pm. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm, Friday evening.

Funeral Services for Jeff will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 30, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church, 201 W. Main St., Moore, OK. Interment to follow at Moore Cemetery, Moore, OK.

Family suggests donations may be made in Jeff’s honor to I.A.F.F. Local #157, 157 NW 6th St., OKC, OK 73102. Please include in the memo: Honor Guard.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK.
