Elizabeth (Demarest) Cadmus was buried in the Demarest family plot on March 17, 1931.
By strange coincidence, Elizabeth (Demarest) Cadmus' life had come full circle. She was born on the Demarest farm in 1845. This farm was later sold to the Cedar Lawn Cemetery in 1865 by her father. Before her father sold the farm, she and Cornelius Cadmus were married on the family homestead in 1864. After Mrs. Cadmus' death in 1931, her body was returned to the land that was once owned by her father. The location where she had been born and married was to also be her final resting place - beside generations of her Demarest ancestors. Unfortunately, while some members of her family have marked graves, the graves of Elizabeth (Demarest) Cadmus, and her husband, Cornelius Cadmus, are unmarked.
