Was First President of H. K. Porter Company Veterans' Association
Josiah A. Flowers, age 74, one of the organizers and the first president of the H. K. Porter Company Veterans Association, died Tuesday in his home, 4829 Buter Street, Lawrenceville. He was born in Westmoreland county, but had been a resident of Pittsburgh 55 years. He was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and the Veterans Association.
Mr. Flowers is survived by five daughters, Elma Flowers, Mrs. Elizabeth Mellott, Mrs. Dora Baker, Mrs. Myrtle Barnhart and Mrs. Sylvia Gallagher; three sons, Joseph, William and Regis Flowers, all of Pittsburgh; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Aurentz, Burlington, Kan.; a brother, Alto Flowers, Cincinnati, and 19 grandchildren.
