Ellouise Akers FiGart, 78, of Vinton, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Christmas night. She gladly reunited with her beloved husband of 56 years, William G. “Billy” FiGart, Sr. Also welcoming her are her parents, Mason and Delia Akers; brothers; Gene and Kenny Akers; sisters Norma Tripp and Donna Jenkins.
Ellouise worked many years as administrative assistant for Unisys Corporation.
She also helped her husband found B.E.S.T Insurance Agency Inc. in Vinton.
She and Billy were of the founding members of Grace Family Church.
She is survived by her children; Bill FiGart, Jr., (Roxanne),
Scarlett Mullen (Tom), Tommy FiGart (DeLisa), Shanan Willis (Trae); grandchildren, Joey Mullen (Ashley), Jared Mullen (Kendra), Jordan Mullen (fiancé, Brandon), Morgan Rachel Short (Shayne), Kendall Willis, Tanner Willis, Zach FiGart, Remi FiGart, McKinley FiGart, brother, Larry Akers; and a brother-in-law Kenny Jenkins.
The family will receive friends 10:00 AM Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Grace Family Church, 2021 Hardy Rd. Vinton VA 24179. Service will follow at 11:00, with Pastor Tommy FiGart officiating; with interment following at Mountain View Cemetery.
