KIMBREL, DORIS SHIPP, age 80, of Gardendale, died March 17, 2008. Mrs. Kimbrel was preceded in death by her father, Chester Shipp; mother, Mary Shinn Shipp; stepmother, Floy Shipp; brother, Curtis Shipp; sisters, JoAnn Bowen, and Gayron Boling. She was a member of East Gardendale Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Warren Kimbrel; daughters, Latrelle (Rick) Mason, Loretta (Perry) Reid and Nancy (Mike) Hays; grandchildren, Wayne Burns, Melissa Burns, Richann Stage, Teresa Harris, Daniel Harris, Wendy Reid, Brandy Nicholas and Monica Skalnik; 11 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; sister, Jean (Clarence) Chappel; and brother, Charles (Margie) Shipp.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 20, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Gardendale Funeral Home with burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. Rev. Allen Davis officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
