He was born in Old Washington, Ohio and has lived in Tallmadge since 1952. He retired from Lawson Milk Co. in 1985 after 33 years as a Bottling Machine Operator. Paul was a member of the Tallmadge United Methodist Church, a member of the Tallmadge Methodist Men's Group, and an usher at the church.
He was preceded in death by two infants, Mary Beth and Robert Eugene; parents, Erwin and Nellie Winters; brothers, Craig, Herbert, and Kenneth Winters.
Paul is survived by his wife, Sarah; daughters, Janet Wikle of Ravenna and Donna Wikle of Hot Springs, Virginia; sons, Roger L. Winters of Tallmadge, Paul Russell Winters of Green; brothers, Earl (Elsie) Winters of North Carolina and Derbert (Maxine) Winters of Akron; grandchildren, Paul Eric Winters of Green and Sara Winters of Akron; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Tallmadge United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dr. Barry French officiating. Interment will be at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Donovan Funeral Home, 17 Southwest Ave., (On the Historic Tallmadge Circle).
