Garry Hall, 81, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Sunday December 17, 2017, at the Marshalltown Iowa River Hospice Home. His loving family was by his side.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, at the funeral home.

Garry Loelle Hall was born on April 5, 1936, after his identical twin brother, Larry. They were the sons of Vernal Herald and Fern Lucille (Dobson) Hall. Garry attended school in the Le Grand Community School District graduating with the class of 1954. Garry was united in marriage to Mary Ann Grove on April 20, 1956, at the Carlton Brethren Church, Garwin, Iowa. They made their home in Hartford, Iowa and retired to their home in Marshalltown in 2001. He worked in the airline industry for 32 years as a station agent for Ozark Airlines and TWA.

He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Hartford and the Carlton Brethren Church. Garry’s greatest joy was spending time with his family – they always came first. He was very involved with his church as a head usher. Garry enjoyed playing cards and with his Wednesday Night Men’s Club and with the Le Grand Senior Citizens Card Club.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 61 years, Mary Ann, children, Larry Joe (Kim) Hall of Carlisle, Iowa, Shawn Patrick (Lisa) Hall of Big Fork, Montana, Elizabeth Ann (Stan) Overstake of Marshalltown, Iowa and Allison Fern (Wade) Steward of Le Grand, Iowa, grandchildren, Colin Hall, Hannah Overstake, Connor Overstake, Walker Steward (Samantha), Payton Steward, Caden Steward, and Haven Steward and great-grandchildren, Cash Hall and Otto Hall.In death Garry rejoins his parents, Vernal and Fern, siblings, Audrey Bovenmyer, Vernon Hall, Vivian Cutler, Allen Hall, Don Hall, Merle Hall, identical twin brother, Larry Hall, grandson, Matthew Scott Hall, and great-grandson, Levi Jackson Hall.
