Annette. A. Hoffman, 97, died Thursday, December 8, 2016, while under the care of the compassionate nursing staff at Mount View Care Center in Wausau where she lived for the past nine months.

She was born October 10, 1919, in Marathon, daughter of the late Hugo and Olivia (Baur) Eisenman. On November 27, 1954, she married John F. Hoffman. He preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 1994.

Annette was a member of the Pine Tree Quilters Assoc., where she won numerous awards. She was a member of the Wausau Senior Citizens Chorus and was also an avid gardener and homemaker. Annette was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Oratory Church.

Survivors include her sons, Fred Mackesy, Round Lake Beach, Ill. and Joel Hoffman, Algonquin, Ill.; daughters: Mardell (Lee) Cronister, Fairview, Texas., Laurel (James) Owens, Ft. Collins, Colorado, Kathleen (Michael) McCabe, Skokie, Ill., and Jennifer Doherty, Kenosha, Wis.; sisters: Monica Rolling, Fond du Lac, Wis., Catherine Baumann, Germantown, Wis., and Doris (Larry) Hanz, Schofield, Wis. A proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Mackesy, grandson, H. Lee Cronister, ILL, sisters, Marie Dix, Mercedes Rolling and Gertrude Sicklinger and a brother, Winand Eisenman.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm. Sunday, December 18, at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to North Central Health Care/Mount View Care Center, Wausau.
