Frances McCulloch Pierce, 87, of Brookneal passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at home. She was the wife of the late Clyde Wilson Pierce. Mrs. Pierce was born in Halifax County, on September 26, 1930, a daughter of the late Tom W. McCulloch and Mary Kersey McCulloch. She was a member of Brookneal Baptist Church and a retired employee of the Bibb Company. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Jean Hamilton (Will) of Madisonville; four grandchildren, Cindy Epperson of Gladys, Ronnie Lloyd (Tammy) of Clarksville, Kevin Lloyd of Nathalie, and Kimberly Reamer (Jerry) of Saxe; nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Bobbie Hammack of Rustburg and Eva Jean Daniel (Curtis) of Castalia, N.C.; and a very special friend Frankie Booker. She was preceded in death by one brother, Dick Lewis McCulloch; and one brother-in-law, Jack Hammack. A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Brookneal Baptist Church by the Rev. Keith Williams with interment to follow in Wickliffe Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and at the residence other times. Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal is assisting the family.
